Academic Competition: Students have the opportunity to demonstrate knowledge and ability in the Humanities, Sciences, Performing Arts, and Visual Arts

Olympics Competition: Students will compete for bronze, silver, and gold medals along with other awards as determined by the ACT-SO staff.

National Competition: Opportunity to compete with students from cities throughout the United States.

Local Scholarships: In partnership with Okaloosa-Walton Community College, ACT-SO awards eight (8) full scholarships each year.

National Scholarships: The National NAACP ACT-SO office provides numerous academic opportunities for students that compete.

NAACP National Convention: Gold medal winners that score a minimum of 70% in their category of competition wins an all expense paid trip to the ACT-SO National Competition in Pittsburgh, PA.

Referral Award: A referral award of $100.00 is presented to the student that refers the most "new" participants to ACT-SO. (Please be advised that a referral must participate to be counted).
